A Week in the Life of a Service Director.
Tony Molloy – Service Director
6th October 2023
Ok, first time at writing a blog. I have been reading that a normal blog is around 330 words to 5581 words.
Don’t think for a minute that this is going to be anywhere near that but here goes…
First of all, we started the week hearing that Konica Minolta are going to stop making parts for the Konica Minolta 1060/1070 Range from August 24, which was a bit of shock.
It does not feel like the product has been in the field for that long but looking back at my first training course for the product, it was back in 2013 at Konica Minolta old training centre in Oldbury. How time flies!
This week has also seen month end which requires a lot more office based time rather than being out in the field. This is also my time to analyse the service reports, which we look at on a month by month basis to ensure we’re giving the best service possible to our customers. If anything needs tweaking, now’s the time that happens. After a quiet summer, we are definitely starting to feel the buzz of activity as the dreaded ‘C’ word approaches so these reports are even more important at this time of year!
Lastly and on the good news front, Konica Minolta have asked me and Mike to attend the UK Packaging Awards 2023 at Grosvenor House, London.
As we are now one of two partners in the UK who can now sell and service the Konica Minolta Accurio Label Press 230.
The awards are taking place on Thursday 12th October, with some big companies sponsoring each award.
Konica Minolta are sponsoring Label of the Year Award, and we have one of our own customers, Falconer Print and Packaging, up for the Best New Concept Award with their Nutcracker Christmas Gift set.
Good luck to all and see you there.
